The Spark is the official student newspaper for the University of Reading. Read by 17,500 students monthly, I was the design editor during my final year at University. This role involved managing a team of designers. I was responsible for delegating articles to individuals and providing guidance for them throughout the design process. Further tasks included proof-reading articles for typographical detail prior to print and attending weekly meetings to review design progress and problems. This role was an invaluable experience for me as a designer, vastly improving my editorial design skills and educating me in the industrial printing process.
