A second year editiorial project with the brief to design the covers for three art catalogues which the Arts Council England were holding exhibitions on. I aimed to attract the audience through a use of powerful imagery. I chose to feature three watercolour paintings which, although by different artists, gave consistency through the set by medium. To maintain a consistent design, I also used the modern sans serif typeface 'Archive' which I felt carried an artistic yet bold characteristic. I decided to keep the colour on the back of each catalogue as black to give focus and good legebility to the typography and a contrast to the front without distracting from the art work.
